Dr. Deepak Kumar

Dr Deepak Kumar specialises in audio-vestibular - Hearing, Tinnitus, Dizziness/Vertigo and has over 20 years of experience in Ireland. He serves in a senior position at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Dublin for over 20 years and is a lead clinician at The Audiology Clinic, a private clinical audio-vestibular practice with locations in Dublin, Naas, and Mallow .

Dr Kumar's expertise encompasses a broad range of clinical audiological (audio-vestibular) services, including the assessment and management of dizziness/vertigo, hearing, tinnitus and hyperacusis and the prescription of hearing aids. Deepak has special interest in Tinnitus and has been managing tinnitus patients through various different tinnitus management option. He has been providing Lenire Tinnitus Treatment for over 4 years in Ireland. His clinical approach is patient-centred through evidece based practice, focusing on improving quality of life through tailored hearing and balance solutions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Kumar has been actively involved in teaching medical and paramedical students and has contributed to numerous research projects in the field of clinical audiology. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences and has authored several publications. His research interests include dizziness, middle ear assessment, and tinnitus.

Dr Kumar holds a Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University, Arizona, USA, a Master in Audiological Science from University College London, UK, and Bachelor degree in Audiology from University of Mysore, India. He is a member of Irish Academy of Audiology (MIAA), fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA) and a member of Irish Hearing Aid Audiologists (MISHAA).
