My experience with Mr. Ben Husien was incredible from start to finish. He explained in great detail what the surgery would entail. The secretary was especially nice and extremely helpful. On the day of my surgery I was checked into the Hermitage. All of the staff were extra kind and friendly. The nurses and staff on the ward were out of this world. After my surgery I was given a nurses phone number and the secretary also gave me her number and said do not hesitate to contact them. I contacted them twice since surgery. They quickly answered my questions and helped me out.

I attended Mr Husien 3 times in total: my initial consult was as a result of a referral from my GP based on an MRI I'd had done. I'd been suffering with bad sciatic pain for several months which had a severe impact on my day to day life. As it progressed, I was practically unable to walk and whilst I could still drive, it was looking like that would become impossible as well because of the severe pain I was in. Strong painkillers failed to provide any relief. The MRI showed a compression on my sciatic nerve and that L4 and L5 were bulging. Mr Husein reviewed the MRI and said I needed surgery to remove some of the disks themselves and he also had to cut a couple of the clips off the Harrington Rod I'd had implanted as part of spinal fusion surgery 45 years ago (for scoliosis). He gave me a date and I requested that I be considered for any cancellations. Luckily, I got a cancellation, got through the pre-operative checks and was admitted for an overnight stay. The surgery went really well and I was up and walking, without pain, in the recovery room. Mr Husien visited early the following morning and declared me fit for discharge. Recently I had my post surgical review (6-7 weeks following the operation) and Mr Husien asked me how the surgery had worked out and I was happy to confirm that I'd had very little pain since and had resumed a normal life. He then discharged me. I was delighted with him, he explained everything very well and was open to any questions. His backup secretarial support were also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in going to him again if someth...

I found Mr Hussein to be personable, attentive and approachable. His reputation as an excellent surgeon iis obviously well deserved and I liked the fact that he checked things both before and following surgery. I consider myself lucky to have had him perform my spinal surgery.

I had a very good experience all round during my visit to the Hermitage Clinic, and as I was very anxious at the beginning the staff were brilliant and made me feel at ease. Mr Ben Husien had a great easy contact and made me feel reassured. My overall experience was very good.

From the moment I first sat in Mr Husien's office for the initial consultation, I was made feel welcome. My previous neurosurgeon had retired and, honestly, I was wary of attending a new doctor. I have to say, my worries vanished within minutes. He listened to everything I had to say, without any interuptions, asked questions only when I had finshed speaking, and made the entire experience as stress-free as possible. His bedside manner post-surgery was wonderful, his priority was to ensure that I felt comfortable going home before he would sign off on the hospital discharging me.

I have had two back surgeries with Mr. Ben Husien, and the care I received was outstanding. From the very beginning, he was incredibly clear about the surgical steps, what to expect during recovery, and the overall outcomes. What really stood out was how empathetic and understanding he was. He truly listened to my concerns and helped ease my worries both before and after my procedures. I felt completely supported throughout the entire process. If you need a spinal specialist who is both highly skilled and genuinely caring, I cannot recommend Mr. Husien enough.
