General Counselling
Through this process I will support you to process your personal,
emotional, or psychological challenges. I will provide a safe, supportive
environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. The
goal is to improve your mental health, enhance coping skills, and foster
personal growth. General counselling may cover a wide range of issues,
including stress, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions,
helping you gain clarity, solve problems, and achieve greater emotional

Counselling for Relationships
My counselling service addresses a wide range of
relationship issues, offering support and guidance to you. With many years of
experience in counselling both males and females, I provide a safe,
non-judgmental space for you to explore challenges such as communication
problems, conflict resolution, trust issues, and emotional connection. My goal
is to help you navigate your relationships with understanding, improve your
emotional well-being, and foster healthier, more fulfilling connections.
I have many years’ experience of counselling both males and females who
are experiencing domestic abuse in their relationship. Are you experiencing any
of the following form of abuse: Coercive Control: in the form of possessiveness, jealousy, controlling behaviour such as isolation from friends and family, verbally through put downs, undermining, criticism,
financial abuse.

Physical abuse:
Are you being pushed, strangled, slapped, threatened or spat or other type physical

Counselling for Anxiety and Panic Attacks:
The goal of anxiety and panic attack counselling is too empower you to understand and manage your anxiety by using tools and strategies to manage your anxiety triggers, regain control over your life, improving your overall well-being.
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes overwhelming or persistent, it can interfere with daily life. Anxious thoughts and panic attacks can be frightening, when you begin to feel like you have no longer
control over how you are feeling or yourself. Understanding your anxiety and why
you are feeling the way you do is the first step to freedom and taking back your power over anxiety and panic attacks.
Counselling for Depression:
Depression counselling involves therapeutic support to help you cope with and overcome symptoms of depression. These symptoms could be in the form of feelings of sadness, hopelessness, lack of interest in general in life,
struggling to get up each morning or enjoying pleasurable activities. Counselling help you to identify and change negative thought patterns, improve coping strategies, through embrasing positive behavioural changes. how it is impacting your life. Trauma can be present for many different reasons
from life events and experiences such as abuse, accidents, or incidents that you had no control over, or it could be an incident or experience that occurred recently. Understandingyour trauma is the first step in managing it and becoming free of its impact on your life.

Counselling for Self-Esteem:
Self-esteem counselling
focuses on helping you improve your self-worth and build a more positive
self-image. It involves identifying and exploring negative beliefs and thought
patterns that contribute to your low self-esteem. Through exploration you learn
to recognize your strengths, set healthy boundaries, and develop a more
compassionate and realistic view of yourself. The goal of self-esteem counselling
is to empower you to feel more confident, resilient, and valued in every area of
your life.
Stress Management Counselling:
Stress management counselling helps you identify sources of stress and develop effective strategies to cope with and reduce it. You will learn techniques such as relaxation exercises, time management, changing thought patterns, and mindfulness to better handle life's pressures. The goal is to build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and enhance overall coping skills, enabling you
to manage stress in healthier and a more balanced way.
Counselling for Shame:
Shame is a powerful and often painful emotion that
arises when you feel bad about yourself, believe you've done something wrong,
or think you are unworthy or fundamentally flawed. It reflects a deep sense of personal inadequacy or failure. Initially, shame often comes from external sources, such as criticism or rejection from others, who may communicate the message "you are bad." Over time, you may internalize this message,
leading to self-judgments like "I am bad," "I am not enough," "I am unlovable," or "I am stupid." It can also stem from internal pressures, such as perfectionism or unmet personal standards. Shame can lead to a range of negative outcomes, including low self-esteem, social withdrawal, anxiety, or depression. It can be a very hidden emotion and it often creates a sense of disconnection from others, because of fear of being
judged or exposed. Overcoming your shame involves addressing its underlying
causes, cultivating self-compassion, and learning to accept yourself as
imperfect but valuable. I can support you to work through these feelings and
regain a healthier sense of self-worth and emotional healing and growth.
Counselling for Guilt
Realistic guilt is an emotional response that occurs when you believe you have done something wrong or failed to meet your own or others' expectations. It often involves a sense of responsibility for harmful actions or outcomes. Unrealistic guilt, however, occurs when you feel guilty for situations outside of your control or for things you had no
influence over. It involves excessive or misplaced feelings of responsibility, leading to unnecessary self-blame and emotional distress. Unrealistic guilt can be a result of perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, or a tendency to takemon too much responsibility for other people’s needs.
I can support you to explore and understand how guilt is impacting your life. We will focus on distinguishing between genuine guilt, which is tied to specific actions, and unrealistic guilt, which arises from excessive or misplaced responsibility. You will learn to understand your irrational thought patterns developing a healthier perspective into the origins of your feelings enabling you to let go of the old and embrace a new you.
Non-Violent Resistance Counselling:
Non-Violent Resistance
(NVR) counselling is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals,
particularly parents or caregivers, manage challenging behaviour in children or
adolescents without resorting to violence or punitive measures. NVR focuses on
empowering parents to respond calmly, assertively, and consistently to
difficult behaviours. It encourages the use of clear boundaries, emotional
self-regulation, and non-violent strategies to de-escalate conflicts. The goal
is to promote positive change, improve communication, and strengthen
relationships while reducing aggression and promoting a peaceful environment.
Through engaging in the NVR program, I can empower you to parent with authority and confidence. This approach
will help you set clear boundaries, respond calmly to challenging behaviours,
and strengthen your relationship with your child, all while maintaining a peaceful and respectful home environment.
Adolescent Counselling:
Adolescent counselling is
a therapeutic process designed to help teenagers navigate the emotional,
behavioural, and social challenges they face during this crucial stage of
development. It provides a safe space for adolescents to express their thoughts
and feelings, address issues such as anxiety, depression, peer pressure, family
dynamics, or academic stress, and develop healthier coping strategies. The goal
is to support adolescents in building self-esteem, improving communication
skills, and making positive life choices, while helping them develop emotional
resilience and better mental health.
