Dr Andrew Kernohan is a highly experienced Consultant Endocrinologist specialising in medical weight management, and has been helping patients lose weight for over 15 years. He is on the Irish Medical Council Specialty Register and practises privately at The Weight Loss Medics.
He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1995 with an MB ChB and also holds a BMedSci in Biochemistry. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge led him to complete an MD through research, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP).
Dr Kernohan has extensive practical and research experience in the use of GLP-1 mimetics, widely regarded as the most effective class of weight loss medications. He provides evidence based treatment options, including therapies such as Mounjaro and Wegovy, tailored to individual patient needs.
