Prof. Alan Irvine

Professor Alan Irvine is a consultant dermatologist and professor of dermatology. They are a recognised expert in epithelial genetics, the characterisation of the skin barrier, and disease mechanisms in atopic dermatitis. Professor Irvine has published extensively on these and other topics in high-impact journals. Their research interests have been supported by grants from organisations such as the Wellcome Trust and the HRB. Professor Irvine is also an internationally recognised speaker, having delivered lectures at some of the world's most prestigious dermatology and allergy conferences.
