NuaCell Clinic, located in Malahide in County Dublin, is a regenerative and functional medical clinic lead by Medical Director and Specialist in Regenerative Functional and Precision Medicine, Professor Sam van Eeden. The team has developed this resource to educate and guide individuals interested in exploring the field of stem-cell-based regenerative, functional, and precision medicine.
NuaCell Clinic offers a wide range of regenerative services, including various types of stem cell based treatments such as mesenchymal, adipose stem cell based treatments, and autologous cellular micro-grafting. The Functional Medicine Clinic was established in 2017 to optimise the health and lifestyles of patients attending the stem cell based clinic. The aim is to improve overall health, which in turn enhances the response of stem cells and optimises the remodelling of new tissue growth. These services were made available to the general public in 2019.
The team introduced the Precision Medicine Clinic in January 2023 which incorporates genetic, telomeric, and genomic testing to enhance the comprehensive holistic approach and interpretation of individual examinations and test results. This enables the clinic to customise treatment roadmaps for each individual based on the results of these specialised investigations.
NuaCell Clinic is firmly committed to ethical and evidence-based treatment. The team continuously explores the latest research to provide clients with the most modern and up-to-date approaches to improve lives.
In addition, the clinic operates a specialised hair loss clinic as part of the NuaCell regenerative clinic, specifically focused on managing hair loss treatments, hair transplants, and regenerative hair growth stem cell based treatments.

I was having short frenulum and for many years i thought this is just a way it is and have to live with it, when i started having frequent scars then I started reasearching about the solution and came accross NuaCell. Doctor Sam is very knowledgeable and reachable person, the appointment was fixed promptly and in the clinic in Malahide, I was explained in detail and doctor Sam anwered all my queries patiently and friendly. I went ahead with laser frenuloplasty procedure, they inject a mild sedative and i was asleep for 10 mins and when i woke up, procedure was already done, you dont feel any pain or discomfort. Post procedure they provide healthy meal and aftercare kit and numbing cream. But i never had to apply any cream afterward. It's been 2 days now and the wounds are healing rapidly with no discomfort or pain at all. I am more than happy with overall experience and result so far. I wish I had done this procedure years ago, but its never late, and one should go for it without any hesitation Many thanks doctor Sam and all the best

I dont know what to say apart from i'm attending this clinic 6 plus years now and Dr Sam has changed if not saved my life . We are so happy with the treatment received at Nuacell Clinic for our 3-month-old baby who was struggling with eczema and irritated cradle cap. We first went to them 5 years ago with our first son for the exact same issue. Before finding them, we had tried everything — GP recommendations, pharmacy creams, and different treatments — with no results. Nuacell truly saved us both times. Lessons from Covid-19 and the potential benefit of the implementation of Axon’s personal electronic health records (PEHR) into aesthetic care, plastic and reconstructive surgery - European Journal of Plastic Surgery
Background Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the need for implementing Personal Electronic Health Records (PEHR) for patients’ data management. Furthermore, this pandemic underscored the relevance for integrated and interoperable Electronic Health Records (EHR) to support disease surveillance, hospital capacity planning and resource management (Peek N, Sujan M, Scott P (2020) Digital health and care in pandemic times: impact of COVID-19. BMJ Health Care Inf 27(1):e100166. https://doi.org/10.1136/bmjhci-2020-100166 ). Due to the lack of comprehensive patients’ record in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, Axon’s myHealth app offers a break-through patient-centric design allowing patients to be in control of their records and updating them in real-time for their plastic and aesthetic care providers to have a clearer understanding of patients’ history and progress from pre-op to post-op. Methods The Axon Dublin survey took place during Covid-19 pandemic in two phases: Phase 1 aimed to assess the feasibility of patients integrating the Axon myHealth application into their clinical visits. Testing occurred in a clinical environment, where patients were encouraged to download and use the Axon system with a health practitioner (HP) present. Phase 2 focused on home testing, evaluating patients’ willingness to manage their health remotely with HP assistance. This phase included self-testing activities such as performing rapid Covid-19 antigen tests, recording medical history, and measuring blood pressure at home. Results The Axon Dublin Study aimed to assess patient engagement, clinical impact, and cost-effectiveness of the Axon myHealth application. Over 85% of patients showed interest in owning a Personal Electronic Health Record. Notably, 36% continuously monitored chronic conditions. Clinical decisions, informed by patient data, saw 61.9% compliance. Noteworthy, 23% of hypertensive participants required immediate medication changes. Patient self-capture of data reduced consultation time. Public health implications were significant, with 39% vaccinated and 31% reporting complications. High user satisfaction (97%) demonstrated the app’s effectiveness in infection control and chronic care. Conclusions Offering patients the ability to update and control their data is a growing interest, with a clear need in plastic and aesthetic surgery to have a better understanding of a patient’s medical past and progress throughout the surgical process and period. This platform, which is time and cost efficient, can only facilitate personalised care and improve outcomes while maintaining patient’s confidentiality. Level of evidence Not gradable.
