Early Pregnancy Scans and First Trimester Screening
The Scotia Clinic offers early pregnancy scans / assessments from 6 weeks gestation. Centogene NIPT testing is a very reliable screening test for Trisomies 21, 18 and 13 and available with a very efficient turnaround on test results.
Fertility Care
Their services include shared care/satellite fertility care with IVF clinics in Ireland, Europe, and America, making a wider range of international fertility treatments more accessible to eole in Ireland, most particularly Munster.
With a focus on comprehensive fertility services we provide initial consultations, ultrasound monitoring, blood tests, semenalysis / male fertility assessments, medication management, and specialised care for egg freezing, surrogacy, and same-sex couples.
Menopause Care
The Scotia Clinic runs a Menopause Clinic providing a very holistic model of care. In addition to Dr. McCaffrey , patients meet Menopause Nurse Estelle Fitzgerald during their journey of care.
Following a detailed assessment women are educated on all treatment options both HRT and non- hormone based.
Access to ultrasound scans, Dexa scans are available.
When needed The Scotia Clinic can provide mental health support which is tailored to menopause. Access to a nutritionist and Lifestyle medicine doctor ( www.klmc.ie) are also available.
Pelvic Pain
Dr. McCaffrey has a special interest in the area of pelvic pain and vulvadynia. She is a member of a number of international sexual health and pelvic pain societies.
General Gynaecology
All problems in womens health such as period issues, PCOS, prolapse will be assessed and managed.
A full range of contraception procedures are offered.
Where possible a "one stop" approach can be offered with assessment and treatment being offered on the same day.

I found at times I had to mail or ring more than once but once I received a reply the system was ok.
My apologies for your struggles with our phone system. We have made some modifications to avoid these situations and people will see the benefits very quickky
Difficulty in getting a response to either phone or email. No contact from any staff member when I email or ring. Delays in getting scan results forwarded to Beacon Fertility on numerous occasions which has resulted in missed start dates and delays in treatment. Whilst Dr McCaffrey is extremely efficient and knowledgeable at her job the after admin is not satisfactory
Excellent care experience at my doctors appointment today-Dr McCaffrey always takes such time and effort to look at my overall health needs. Her advice and consultations have been essential in improving my overall health
