Dr. yousef Omer

Dr. Yousif Omer Mohammed Khalid is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a strong focus on minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, operative obstetrics, hysteroscopy, and the management of complex women’s health conditions. He is currently practising at Al Salam Health Medical Hospital in Saudi Arabia, where he works as a Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Laparoscopic Surgery.

His clinical practice includes laparoscopic treatment of ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis and hysterectomy, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy for conditions including intrauterine adhesions and fibroids. He is also experienced in caesarean section, normal vaginal delivery, emergency obstetric care, complicated gynaecological surgery, and the management of both inpatient and outpatient women’s health cases.

Dr. Khalid previously served as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Al Azhar Hospital in Riyadh from 2022 to 2024. In this leadership role, he managed complex obstetric and gynaecological cases, supervised clinical teams, and contributed to the delivery of safe and coordinated maternity and surgical care.

He completed his MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in 2016 following a structured four-year specialist training programme across several teaching hospitals in Sudan. His specialist surgical development continued with a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery at the World Laparoscopy Hospital in India in 2017. He also holds an MBBS from the University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine.

Alongside his consultant work, Dr. Khalid has experience supervising junior doctors and midwives, supporting clinical training, managing labour wards, and applying obstetric and gynaecological protocols and guidelines. He also performs basic obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound and has experience in family planning and counselling services.
