Dr Maher Muad

Dr. Maher Muad is an experienced Urologic Surgeon and Endourology Specialist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a clinical career in urology dating back to 2007. He currently practices at SMC Hospital in Riyadh, where he provides specialized urology consultations and advanced care for patients with a wide range of urinary tract, kidney, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive health conditions.

Dr. Muad has exceptional experience in endourology, minimally invasive urological procedures, stone disease management, and the treatment of disorders affecting the genitourinary system. His clinical practice includes procedures guided by imaging technologies such as X-ray, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, as well as abdominal, pelvic, and retroperitoneal surgeries when required.

Before joining SMC Hospital, Dr. Muad served as an Acting Consultant and Urologist at International Medical Center in Jeddah, a major tertiary hospital and a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. He also spent more than 11 years at Al-Iman General Hospital in Riyadh, where he worked as a Urology Specialist and served as Head of the Urology Department. During this period, he managed inpatient and outpatient urology cases, performed ultrasound assessments, interpreted radiological investigations, conducted minor and major elective surgeries, performed endoscopic procedures, and provided ESWL treatment for patients with stone disease.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Muad practiced in Syria at the Surgical Kidney Hospital in Damascus, one of the largest teaching hospitals for urology, nephrology, and renal transplantation in the country. He also provided urology care in private practice, offering consultations, surgical procedures, ESWL sessions, postoperative follow-up, and treatment planning for patients with urinary and reproductive system disorders.

Dr. Muad’s approach is based on accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, patient safety, and evidence-based urological care. He develops treatment plans in consultation with patients and aligns his clinical decisions with current protocols to support effective outcomes and long-term patient well-being.
