Dr Lujain Althagafi

Dr Lujain Althagafi is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a focus on developmental disabilities and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life for her patients by providing support and appropriate interventions to foster personal and social growth. Dr Althagafi assesses, diagnoses, and treats a range of psychiatric and behavioural disorders affecting children, adolescents, and adults.

Her areas of expertise include managing conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in both young people and adults. She also specialises in developmental disorders, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and learning and communication disorders.

Dr Althagafi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. Following her initial training in psychiatry, she obtained both the Saudi and Arab Board certifications in Psychiatry. Dr Althagafi furthered her specialisation by completing two Canadian fellowships at Queen's University in Canada, one in Developmental Disability in Children, Adolescents, and Adults, and another in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
