Dr Khalid Alkhamis

Dr Khalid Alkhamis is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive care for adults with a wide range of heart conditions. He is committed to applying his extensive knowledge to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients, ensuring they receive thorough and considerate medical attention for their cardiac health needs. His approach is centred on patient well-being, utilising established surgical practices.

Dr Alkhamis earned his medical degree from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He pursued extensive postgraduate training internationally, which includes a Clinical Fellowship in Adult Cardiac Surgery at the University of Laval in Canada. Furthermore, he holds multiple qualifications from France, including two Master's degrees in Heart Valves Surgery and Artificial Heart and Circulatory Support Devices, and is a Fellow of the French College of Thoracic and Cardio-vascular Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

His clinical practice covers a broad spectrum of cardiac surgery. Dr Alkhamis has a special interest in advanced procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve repair and replacement, and the surgical management of aortic conditions. He is also proficient in complex treatments such as the implantation of artificial hearts, heart transplantation, and providing mechanical circulatory support, including Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenator (ECMO) therapy.

Dr Alkhamis is an active member of several international professional organisations. His memberships include the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.
