Dr Javier Boga

Dr Javier Boga is a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver disorders. He is committed to delivering a professional and reassuring service, ensuring that patients are well-informed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey. His approach focuses on a thorough assessment and diagnosis of conditions affecting the gastrointestinal system.

Dr Boga has a particular focus on diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. His clinical interests include the management of liver diseases such as fatty liver and viral hepatitis, as well as inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome. He also provides care for conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, and performs screenings for colon cancer, employing a patient-centred approach to manage both common and complex cases.

He earned his Medical Degree from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador in 2002. Dr Boga later completed his specialisation in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at the University of Alcala de Henares in Spain. In 2005, he was awarded a Certificate of Advanced Studies as part of his doctoral studies. He has been a member of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy since 2008.
