Dr Hayan Besmar

Dr Hayan Besmar is a highly skilled Consultant in General and Laparoscopic Surgery, dedicated to providing patient-focused care. He is known for his meticulous approach to diagnosis and treatment, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes and prioritising patient safety. Dr Besmar is proficient in managing a wide array of general surgical cases and performing advanced laparoscopic procedures.

His clinical services include laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy, hernia repair, and the removal of benign breast tumours and skin cysts. He also specialises in the treatment of anal diseases, coccygeal fistula, colon tumours, and intestinal obstruction. Dr Besmar is also experienced in managing acute abdominal emergencies.

Dr Besmar earned his Doctorate in Human Medicine from Damascus University in 1986, followed by a Master of General Surgery from the same university in 1990. He obtained the Arab Board in General Surgery in 1993. Dr Besmar is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
