Dr Hani Al-Hashmi

Dr Hani Al-Hashmi is a distinguished Consultant Haematologist and Oncologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and patient-focused care. He is committed to managing and treating a wide range of blood disorders and cancers, utilising his extensive knowledge to ensure his patients receive thoughtful and thorough medical attention. His approach is centred on creating a reassuring and supportive environment for individuals and their families throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Al-Hashmi has a notable international educational and training background. He began his studies by earning a degree in Medical Technology from King Abdul Aziz University in 1999. He then moved to Canada, where he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine from McMaster University in 2003. His postgraduate training was in Internal Medicine at the University of Western Ontario, followed by a fellowship in Haematology from McMaster University and a further fellowship in Oncology and Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation from the University of Calgary. He also completed training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the United States and holds an Executive Master of Science in Health Administration.

With a wealth of experience, Dr Al-Hashmi has contributed significantly to the development of oncology services and healthcare strategies. He has a particular interest in research, having presented scientific papers on topics including lymphoma. His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing clinical services and research in the fields of haematology and oncology, always with the goal of improving patient outcomes and providing the highest standard of care.
