Dr Basim Alsaywid

Dr Basim Alsaywid is a Consultant Paediatric Urologist dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital, functional, and acquired urological conditions in newborns, children, and adolescents. He provides comprehensive and compassionate care for a wide range of issues, ensuring patients and their families receive clear, understandable information and support throughout their treatment journey. His approach is centred on achieving the best possible outcomes for his young patients.

Dr Alsaywid obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. He then completed the Saudi Specialty Certificate in Urology. To further his expertise, he undertook two advanced fellowships in paediatric urology in Sydney, Australia. He also holds a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney and a Master in Medical Education. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the American Urological Association and the European Society for Paediatric Urology.

He has advanced expertise in major reconstructive surgeries and is highly skilled in endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures. Dr Alsaywid's clinical interests include the management of congenital abnormalities of the kidney and urinary tract, functional bladder disorders, and the treatment of urinary stones in children. He is also experienced in caring for paediatric patients with urological tumours, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal care.
