Dr Ali Sobhy

Dr Ali Sobhy is a Senior Orthopaedic Specialist with over 15 years of clinical experience in the assessment and management of orthopaedic trauma, musculoskeletal conditions and surgical cases across Saudi Arabia and Egypt. His clinical expertise includes knee and shoulder conditions requiring arthroscopic surgery, hip and knee replacements, sports injuries and intra-articular injections. He has experience managing orthopaedic presentations in emergency, outpatient and operating theatre settings, alongside performing specified arthroscopic procedures independently and assisting in complex orthopaedic surgeries.

Throughout his career, Dr Sobhy has held orthopaedic positions at several teaching and general hospitals in Egypt. His professional background includes roles at Ahmed Maher Teaching Hospital, Dar El-Sallam General Hospital, Giza International Hospital and Mabarret Misr El Qadima Hospital, as well as experience within the Egyptian Ministry of Health primary healthcare system. Currently, Dr Sobhy is practicing at Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh as a Orthopaedic Registrar. 

Having undertaken further training in arthroscopic and sports injury surgery through a fellowship at the Arthroscopy and Sports Injury Unit at Assiut University, Dr Sobhy is training in knee, shoulder, hip and spinal surgeries managing a wide range of conditions. 

Dr Sobhy graduated in medicine from Tanta University in 2007. His postgraduate development includes a Master's degree and a Doctor of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery, with a thesis focused on ACL reconstruction.

His continuing professional development includes training in fracture management, arthroplasty, spinal surgery and deformity planning. Alongside this, he has attended international orthopaedic congresses and specialist workshops covering ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, joint reconstruction and replacement surgery.
