Dr. Alaa Elshafey

Dr. Alaaa Elshafey is an Orthodontist and Invisalign Specialist with over 18 years of specialised experience in orthodontic care. Registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, he has successfully treated more than 500 complex aligner cases and provides orthodontic treatment for children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. Elshafey began his dental career in Egypt as a General Dental Practitioner, gaining experience across both hospital and private practice settings, including Elnaser Hospital and Elbalagh Hospital. He subsequently completed his clinical training for his Master’s degree in Orthodontics and developed specialist experience at Dr. Mohammed Elghanam Dental Center, Dr. Farouk Alengbawey Clinic and Somoha Center for Implantology & Orthodontics. He later relocated to Saudi Arabia, where he practised at Alraed Dental Center before joining Moustashark Dental Care, where he has worked as an Orthodontic Specialist since 2011. He currently practices at Moustashark Advanced Consultant Dental Care.

His clinical practice focuses on providing tailored orthodontic treatment based on each patient’s individual needs, using modern digital orthodontic workflows, advanced multi-bracket mechanics and cutting-edge anchorage systems. He has also completed advanced postgraduate training in the Invisalign technique, micro-implant anchorage systems and the Damon System, alongside training in restorative dentistry.

Dr. Elshafey maintains an active commitment to professional development and evidence-based orthodontic practice. He is a lifetime member and registered with the Egyptian Dental Syndicate and is a member of both the Egyptian Orthodontic Society and Saudi Orthodontic Society. He regularly attends professional conferences and scientific meetings, including the Saudi Orthodontic Society Annual Conferences and Scientific Meetings, the Scientific Congresses of the Egyptian Orthodontic Society, and the XII International Symposium on Dentofacial Development and Function in Cairo.
