Dr Abdullah Alsubaie

Professor Abdullah Alsubaie is a respected Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in the field of mental health. He is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients, employing a reassuring and professional approach to address a wide range of psychological and psychiatric conditions. His work is focused on improving the mental wellbeing of his patients and contributing to the broader understanding of mental health within the community.

Professor Alsubaie is also a distinguished academic, serving as a Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, King Saud University. He has made significant contributions to the field through numerous published research papers on topics such as eating disorders, smoking, and various other psychological conditions. His commitment to education was recognised in 2006 when he was named the best teacher of psychiatry by the medical education and postgraduate studies department at the Faculty of Medicine, King Saud University.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with an 'excellent' grade from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 1982. He then achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry in 1989. Professor Alsubaie is a member of several professional bodies, including the American Psychiatric Association, the Islamic World Psychiatric Union, and the Saudi Psychiatric Association. He was also a founder and president of the Saudi Board of Psychiatry.
