Dr Tamer Abdelgawad has more than 17 years' experience in the field of radiology and has been practising in Dubai for over five years. He currently works at HealthBay Clinic and the Advanced Care Oncology Centre in Dubai. Dr Adbelgawad is certified as a PET/CT consultant from the American College of Radiologists and registered in the Physician Registry Credentials in Canada. His expertise includes x-ray and fluoroscopy, pregnancy ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, carotid doppler, MRI, and MDCT.

Dr Abdelgawad qualified in 2001 from Ain Shams University in Egypt before being awarded a post-graduate fellowship to study at the American College of Radiology in Virginia. He is skilled in the use of musculoskeletal imaging to diagnose chronic back pain, neuroradiology to rule out early ischemic brain disease, and oncology imaging using state-of-the-art PET/CT scanners to detect cancer.

Dr Abdelgaward is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America and of the European Society for Hybrid Molecular and Translational Imaging.
