Dr Sima Bijani is a Specialist in Emergency Medicine based in Dubai at International Modern Hospital and Tehran, Iran. She completed her medical degree at Tehran Islamic Azad Medical University, Iran in 2004 followed by her specialist training in Emergency Medicine at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran in 2017.

Before joining International Modern Hospital in 2022, Dr Bijani practiced at esteemed medical facilities such as Shahid Bahonar Hospital in Karaj and Bu-Ali Hospital in Tehran from 2005 to 2014. She has also led the Department of Emergency Medicine at Jam Hospital in Tehran, Iran from 2019. Throughout her career, Dr Bijani has garnered a wealth of diversified knowledge and expertise in the field of Emergency Medicine.

Alongside her clinical qualifications, Dr Bijani holds various certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) from the National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) from the American College of Surgeons, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.

At International Modern Hospital, Dr Bijani provides a comprehensive range of services in the emergency room, encompassing all aspects of patient care. Her expertise includes rapid sequence intubation, chest tube insertion, sutures for both simple and complex wounds, central vein lines insertion, procedural sedation and analgesia, casting and splinting of broken bones, reduction of dislocated joints, and management of stroke and acute myocardial victims. She is also proficient in managing life-threatening shocks such as hypovolemic, cardiogenic, septic, and neurogenic shocks, as well as handling emergency patients from other departments.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Bijani has made significant contributions to the medical community with her academic research. She has authored journal publications and delivered numerous presentations and speeches, including a notable publication titled "The Trend of Antibiotic Resistance in Shigellosis and Diagnostic Value of Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) for Its Differentiation from Viral Gastroenteritis in Aliasghar Hospital, Tehran, 1996-2006".
