Dr. Seif Sawalha is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in elbow surgery, with 18 years of experience in the United Kingdom (UK) before relocating to the UAE in 2022.

Dr. Sawalha completed his medical education at the University of Jordan before beginning his orthopaedic surgery training in the UK. His extensive training included basic surgical training in various regions across the UK, followed by higher surgical training in London and the Eastern regions. He further honed his expertise through a national training program in trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Liverpool rotation, during which he trained in several prominent elbow and shoulder units, including The Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Notably, he completed an advanced elbow surgery fellowship at the renowned Wrightington Hospital in the UK under the mentorship of Professor Adam Watts.

With a strong commitment to research, Dr. Sawalha has contributed significantly to the field, with over 50 peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and posters in British and European conferences. He remains actively engaged in specialist international elbow meetings and serves as a tutor for the elbow module on the University of Edinburgh's online Master’s degree course. Additionally, he is frequently invited to review submitted research on elbow topics for the prestigious Bone and Joint Journal.

Dr. Sawalha's expertise in elbow surgery covers a wide range of conditions and procedures, including fractures, dislocations, arthritis, instability, stiffness, tendon problems, nerve entrapment, adolescent elbow problems, and previously treated elbow issues with unsatisfactory outcomes. He performs various surgical interventions, including elbow stabilisation, arthrolysis, arthroscopic management for osteoarthritis, elbow replacement, ligament repair, tendinopathy surgery, cubital tunnel release, and revision surgery, among others.

His professional accolades include being on the UK specialist register for trauma and orthopaedic surgery, holding the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), and being a member of esteemed organisations such as the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he holds the FRCS (Tr & Orth) qualification.
