Dr Salam Alhasani is a Consultant Urologist with over two decades of clinical and academic experience in the field. He is based in Dubai and sees patients at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital, Mediclinic Parkview and Mediclinic City Hospital.

Dr Alhasani completed his medical degree at Al-Mustanseryia University, Iraq in 1998 and became certified in Urology by the Jordanian Medical Council in 2004. He received his Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2006 and was registered as a Consultant Urologist by the Arab Board of Medical Specializations in 2007. In 2009, he was awarded his Diploma in Laparoscopic Urological Surgery in France. Dr Alhasani is also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.

Dr Alhasani is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Dubai Medical College, teaching postgraduate and undergraduate medical students. He is also a Faculty Member at the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine & Health Science (MBRU).

Dr Alhasani has expertise in all aspects of general urology, as well as andrology, urological oncology and female urology. His core competencies include the following:

• Endourology with specialist expertise in a variety of endoscopic procedures
• Laser urological surgery
• Minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of various urinary stones (e.g. ureteroscopy, PCNL and ESWL)
• Urological oncology and the management of urinary tract tumours using the latest technology
• Men's health and andrology - e.g. sexual dysfunction, management of erectile dysfunction using both surgical (e.g. penile implants) and non-surgical (e.g. PRP, ESWT) techniques
• Female urology - e.g. management of bladder dysfunction and incontinence using TVT, TOT and sacral neuromodulation
• Minimally invasive prostate procedures (e.g. REZUM, UroLift, Laser, Bipolar-TURP)
