Dr Rajesh Nambiar is a specialist general surgeon at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital. He is highly experienced with over 15 years in the field, 12 of which have been spent heading surgical units in various institutions. He is also a member of the Emirates Colorectal Society.

His expertise is in both basic and advanced laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, including upper GI.

He performs hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and colorectal surgery, including complicated hepatobiliary and pancreatic operations for cancer, such as Whipple's resection. In addition, undertakes surgery for chronic pancreatitis, liver resection for liver malignancies and Hilar cholangiocarcinoma.

He also has experience in liver transplantation and recipient hepatectomy, as well as robotic GI surgery.

Additionally, he can treat all GI surgical emergencies (e.g., peritonitis), trauma-related issues involving the GI system, bleeds and necrotising pancreatitis.
