Dr Mohamed Rabea is a highly qualified Specialist Paediatrician, specialising in Paediatric Gastroenterology, with 15 years of experience. He holds a Medical Doctorate (MD) in Paediatrics and Paediatric Gastroenterology from Cairo University, Egypt, with a background that includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) and a Master's degree in Paediatrics (MSc) from Bani Suef University, Egypt.

His extensive work history includes roles at the National Hepatology and Gastroenterology Institute in Cairo, Egypt, and with the Ministry of Health in Kuwait. Dr Rabea's primary expertise lies in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, and he received specialised training in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Rabea has published several papers. His research spans various topics, including the management of Gastrointestinal Bleeding in children, the treatment of hepatitis C and B, and the impact of COVID-19 on children and adolescents. Dr Rabea's expertise includes coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease in children, dysphagia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), chronic diarrhoea, chronic abdominal pain, and chronic constipation. He also has expertise in paediatric GI endoscopy, for the management of foreign bodies ingestion, GI bleeding, and GI dilatation, as well expertise in paediatric hepatology, focusing on viral hepatitis and chronic non-viral hepatitis.
