Dr. Miriam Byrne is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a focus on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she specialises in breast surgery, all aspects of aesthetic surgery, and body contouring following massive weight loss.

Dr. Byrne obtained her medical degree with honours from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. She became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005 and later received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI[Plast]) after completing the competitive National Higher Specialist Training Programme and Intercollegiate Specialist Examination of the United Kingdom and Ireland. She furthered her training through prestigious fellowships at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and the London Clinic, focusing on breast microsurgery and advanced aesthetic surgery. Dr. Byrne also sought additional specialist experience in microsurgery and lymphedema surgery from renowned centers in Spain, Belgium, and Japan.

In recognition of her outstanding skills and expertise, Dr. Byrne was awarded the esteemed American Society of Plastic Surgery Aesthetic International Fellowship, allowing her to pursue further aesthetic study in the United States and United Arab Emirates. She has also earned a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree for her research work on the interrelationship between coagulation and inflammation in a major cancer model.

Having previously worked at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for four years, Dr. Byrne has established herself as a leading practitioner in aesthetic and reconstructive breast and body contouring surgery. She has successfully treated patients from diverse backgrounds and is particularly experienced in body contouring after massive weight loss.

Dr. Byrne is actively involved in the field of plastic surgery, serving as an Examiner for the Plastic Surgery Consultant and Associate Licensing with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi. She is also a member of the review board for the Department of Health and is engaged in clinical teaching. With a postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow, she is committed to sharing her knowledge and expertise with aspiring surgeons.
