Dr. Kalpana Venkatanathan has over 30 years of experience in the field of General Practice, having worked and trained in India.  Dr. Kalpana, acquired her MBBS degree from the Madras Medical College, Chennai, a premier Medical Institute in India and completed her residency with the same institute. Subsequently, she completed her post graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the renowned Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She is also a holder of postgraduate diploma in Maternal and Child Health, had undergone training in Government Maternity Hospital and Institute of child health, Chennai, India. Furthermore, she has completed a course in Diabetology from Medvarsity, Apollo, India.  Dr. Kalpana is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS), accredited by American Heart Association. 

Before moving to UAE, Dr, Kalpana had an extensive practice for 17 years in India, working in different hospitals in and around Delhi. She had her individual practice and served as an honorary medical consultant to various industries & establishments like Reserve Bank of India, Subros, Salora International, Cavin Kare, and S.M. Apparels, attending to all medical emergencies.

In UAE, Dr. Kalpana have a variegated experience, having worked in Al Rafa Hospital for Maternity and Surgery (Aster Hospital, Mankhool), Dubai Modern High, Al Musalla Medical Centre and Prime Medical Center.
