Dr Jamie Abdennandher is a passionate British-trained family doctor with vast experience working internationally. He has excellent communication skills with his patients and has a wealth of expertise in a wide range of areas. Currently based at American Hospital (Dubai), he specialises in providing comprehensive primary health care to all ages and genders. He has previously worked as a family doctor in the UK at a number of surgeries including BMI Ridgeway Hospital, Abbey Meads Medical Practice, and Old Town Surgery.

Dr Abdennandher earned his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Newcastle. He later gained a master of health science degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan and went on to become a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011. He has also been involved in research and, between 2005 and 2008, was the lead researcher for a cross-sectional survey to assess awareness and attitudes towards HIV/AIDS among Japanese hospital doctors (funded by a Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare research grant). His work was subsequently published in The Journal of AIDS Research. Dr Abdennandher has also completed a number of training courses including Advanced Life Support (ALS), The Wessex GP Primary Care Mental Health Course, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Aeromedical Specialist Course.

Dr Abdennandher is a member of the British Medical Association and the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK.
