Dr Amruta Katkar is a Physiotherapist at Al Zahra Private Hospital in Dubai. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2008 at the KLE Institute of Physiotherapy, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. She also completed a Postgraduate Program in Health Care Management from the Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management & Development and Research in India in 2012.

Dr Katkar has also undertaken a number of internships and attended several workshops, including in the areas of hand surgery, sports massage and rehabilitation, to further develop her expertise in physiotherapy. She holds certificates in Dry Needling, Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation (Level 1) and Basic Life Support.

Prior to her current position at Al Zahra Private Hospital, Dr Katkar practiced as a Physiotherapist in clinics and hospitals in both India and Dubai, including the position of Head of Department of Physiotherapy at NMC Hospital. Through these positions she gained valuable experience in managing issues under the pressure of large hospitals and is able to communicate well with patients and her colleagues.

In her current position, Dr Katkar offers a range of treatments, including: manual therapy, exercise advice for injury prevention, dry needling and spinal manipulation. She has expertise in providing treatment for injuries/pain associated with orthopaedic conditions, cardiovascular conditions and Neurological rehabilitation.
