Dr Alessandra Pipan is a board certified consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology and has over 30 years of specialist experience. She currently practices as a consultant at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai, UAE. She has extensive experience in the areas of infertility, high-risk pregnancy and other areas of gynaecology.

Prior to her position at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dr Pipan has worked at several leading hospitals and medical clinics in both the UAE and Italy.

In her current consultant position, she uses typically sees patients with conditions under the following categories:

• Reproductive-age endocrinology

Dr Pipan completed her MBBS at Sapienza University of Rome in 1978. She then received her Master's degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Catholic University of Rome, Italy in 1983. She also has a Master's degree in Epidemiology and Statistics in Healthcare Management; Medical Anthropology and a recently completed Master's degree Stem Cells and Regeneration from the University of Bristol, UK.

She is also a member of the following professional organisations:

• Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Outside of the hospital, Dr Pipan has published blog articles about topics in obstetrics and gynaecology; her most recent being about ovarian cancer. She has also contributed to research projects both nationally and internationally in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
