Dr. Alejandra Guerrero is a distinguished neurologist with a range of expertise. She is renowned for her precise diagnosis and effective treatment of neurological disorders, particularly specialising in dementia and cognitive disorders. Her extensive international exposure, encompassing both clinical practice and research, has fortified her as a well-rounded medical professional.

Dr. Guerrero is known for her empathetic and professional patient-centred approach. Dr Guerrero’s professionalism and dedication have made her a pivotal asset to the NSH team of medical experts. She achieved her medical degree from Universidad del Rosario in 2011 and further pursued her residency in neurology at Universidad de la Sabana – Hospital Occidente de Kennedy from 2013 to 2017, culminating as the chief resident in neurology. Notably, she enriched her experience with a five-month tenure in the Memory Unit at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain.

Furthermore, Dr. Guerrero participated in the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health 2017 Cohort, followed by two impactful years at Trinity College Dublin. Her academic journey continued with a Masters Degree in Public Health from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
