Dr Ahmed El Bakoury is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. His number one priority is always ensuring the safety of you and your family. He provides diagnosis and management of complex hip and knee problems, specialising in both nonoperative and operative treatment of patients with osteoarthritis, cartilage tears, ligamentous sports injuries, dysplasia and trauma surgery.

He completed his medical degree at Alexandria University in 2004, and began clinical practice in 2005. He completed a Masters Degree in Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma at Alexandria University in 2009, and achieved MRCS accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK in 2010, followed by FRCS in 2014. In 2016, he completed his PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma from Alexandria University.

Dr El-Bakoury undertook specialist fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty in Plymouth, UK in 2015, followed by a sub-specialised hip arthroscopy fellowship training in Reading and Oxford UK in January 2017. In July 2017 he also completed the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital programme at Stanmore, UK. Finally, Dr El-Bakoury obtained his University of Calgary (Alberta, Canada) Joint reconstruction fellowship qualification in July 2018. Consequently, he is eminently qualified to provide world class care to patients requiring these sorts of interventions.
