Dr Adel Al Sisi is the Group Chief Medical Officer of the Prime Healthcare Group and Consultant in the Intensive Care Unit and Stroke Unit at Prime Hospital Dubai. He specialises in emergency medicine and critical care and has over 15 years of clinical experience.

He obtained his medical degree from Cairo University, Egypt in 2006 and later completed a PhD in Critical Care Medicine at Kasr Alainy, Cairo University, Egypt in 2011.

After qualifying, he became an American Heart Association (AHA) certified Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor. He also became an American College of Surgeons (ACS) certified Advanced Trauma Life Support and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor.

He is highly skilled in dealing with acutely ill patients and has expertise the following procedures:

• Insertion of central venous and arterial access
• Mechanical ventilation
• DC electrical shocks in the management of tachyarrhythmias or in advanced cardiac life support
• Endotracheal and nasotracheal intubation
• Pericardiocentesis
• Paracentesis

Outside of the Clinic, Dr Al Sisi is an international reviewer of papers in the field of Intensive Care and has also been an author of several chapters in Intensive Care textbooks. He is also ICU Consultant and Lecturer at Cairo University Hospital's Critical Care Department.
