The stroke I suffered was very traumatic and I was thrown into a world of fear and uncertainty. When I met Dr Amlani, I felt safe for the first time, it was a great sense of relief. He was able to explain my condition and all the options available to me in a clear and reassuring manner. He took a holistic approach, addressing both my psychological and medical condition. He pushed me enough to make considerable progress but not too far so that I was afraid. He has given me hope but at the same time managing any unrealistic expectations I have had about my future. Dr Amlani is an exceptional Stroke Consultant.

Dr Amlani is professional, personable and gave excellent advice for my recovery process. His explanations are clear, and he taught me how to monitor my health stats, including blood pressure. I had a stroke (brain bleed) which led to paralysis in my right leg and arm. Dr Amlani makes sure I remain medically stable during my recovery process. He was on hand to review my health stats and adjust my blood pressure medication promptly as my recovery led to lower dosage needed. No longer being dizzy from medication meant I was able to do more activity to progress my neuro rehab. Within eight months of the stroke, I was able to swim and get back on my bicycle. Dr Amlani, his team of physios, occupational therapist and speech therapists all guided me to adopt good habits for the recovery. Their advice was practical and encouraging, helping me understand the impact of neuro rehab and how to sustain it. They emphasized the importance of enjoying the day-to-day, which was difficult in the early days with much reduced mobility. Their care and advice led me on to recovering more activities - returning to driving, motorbiking, kayaking and skiing. Dr Amlani and his team have excellent knowledge and experience in stroke and neuro rehab, with fantastic patient care.

The heartfelt care that Dr Amlani gave to my father after his stroke was simply outstanding. He was invested in helping dad to a recovery that we were previously told was unattainable. It meant to so much to us as a family to have such a brilliant person look after someone so important to us. Thank you.
