A superb surgeon and totally recommended. Hugely reassuring when I needed surgery to remove my gallbladder. Clear explanation as to why the surgery had to be postponed when I developed a gallbladder infection. When the surgery was able to go ahead, he was able to keep to as keyhole surgery despite it being a technically complex operation. My recovery is going very well as a direct result of Professor Kocher being able to keep it as keyhole surgery. Excellent post operative care. Karen Mawire from Professor Kocher's team is a hepatobilary and Upper G.I. nurse consultant, so between them they're a hugely efficient team. As just one example, I called Karen mid-morning one day after my GP flagged abnormal liver functional test results. This was whilst waiting for my surgery, and three days before I was due to go on my summer holiday. Karen arranged for blood tests, an ultrasound and an appointment with Professor Kocher, all on the same day that I called. The ultrasound was normal and I was able to go on my summer holiday as planned. I'm hugely grateful to both Karen and Professor Kocher, and I recommend them wholeheartedly
