Mr Lockyer undertook his medical training at the Royal London Hospital, qualifying in 1993. He subsequently undertook specialist training in Urology in London, Bristol and Southampton, which included a visit to The Cleveland Clinic, funded by the British Urological Foundation. His main clinical interests are in general urology, urological oncology and laparoscopy. Mr Lockyer was appointed as a consultant urological surgeon at UHS NHS Foundation Trust in 2008. He has several publications in research areas including erectile dysfunction and bladder and testicular cancer.

Excellent . Good explanation of procedure and risks . As a general comment I think that more info on post op recovery, wound mgt etc would be useful - to be fair some of this is available online but the surgeons focus is, rightly, on the operation, as is much of the provided information. As a patient the post op period when issues arise - dressings, twinges, exercises etc and some more support mechanisms /info here would be good - not that I think busy consultants like Mr Lockyer need to provide it.
