Fabio was fabulous. I was grateful for his service and saving my life

I am so pleased that my cardiologist recommended Fabio De Robertis to carry out my surgery which comprised a replacement aortic valve and two coronary bypasses. Notwithstanding his excellent technical competence, Fabio is a charming and personable man and I was confident of the outcome from the day I met him. For anyone requiring this type of surgery, I would offer an unconditional recommendation.

You know that you are dealing with an expert when being looked after by Mr de Robertis. He explained obviously complex matters in straightforward terms. He left me confident that any procedure managed by him would be a successful team service led by him generating inspiration and professionalism. He always had the time to explain matters and seemed to have a sixth sense to identify my concerns and address them.

On meeting Mr Fabio DE Robertis He came across as Very kind and caring about my heart situation.He Explained the operation he was going to undertake in detail explaining the risks along with the pros and cons.also explaining the recovery time and the help i would need after the operation. At that moment in time i was level 3/4 Multi level obstructed HOCM and could hardly walk along with dizzy spells and out of breath most of the time.But i was very Overwhelmed with his Caring Nature in both me and my family life. As my health was going downhill fast and he explained he could help me have a chance at a better quality of life with this much needed operation. I was very worried having to have a an operation were only 25 of this kind of Operation are carried out every year in the uk But after Mr Robertis explained everything with care i Felt very Confident in having the operation along with his caring team. I have recently undergone a complex valve repair surgery in Herefield hospital that was operated and managed by Mr Fabio De Robertis. After my experience with Mr De Robertis I strongly believe that he is a highly professional and very skilled expert in his field. He is also a caring surgeon who is prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that the patient is doing well from both physical and psychological points of view. I had a lot a questions and I’m possibly not the easiest patient to manage. However, I do feel that all of my questions were answered and all situations that happened on the way were carefully attended and managed by Mr De Robertis and his team. Also, doctor De Robertis is evidently very much respected by his colleagues. His opinion is highly valued by all members of medical staff in the hospital and the results of his work are invariably praised by his colleagues. Altogether, I would say that Mr Fabio De Robertis really is a person to trust with a life.

Mr Fabio, very nice and calm and experienced hart surgeon. One year on and I am still alive! He saved my life potentially, can not recommend enough.

Considering the Covid-19 problem I found Mr Robertis covered every procedure very professionally. He explained everything to me on our first meeting before the operation the next day, explaining that if things had to change due the valve condition what type of replacement valve would I prefer. Luckily the damaged valve could be repaired and he has done an excellent job of returning it to a valve working perfectly well for many years to come. He followed up with two visits checking that everything was stable and functioning well before allowing me to return home. So I am 100% pleased with every aspect of the whole procedure he has performed.

I found Fabio to be clear, friendly and reassuring. More importantly, the operation was a complete success and there were no complications.
