Mr Cloke fellowship trained in Shoulder and Elbow surgery with specialist interests in shoulder and elbow replacement, shoulder arthroscopy and hand and wrist surgery. He is an Associate Clinical Lecturer at Newcastle University and a Member of various societies including: the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, the British Shoulder and Elbow Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the British Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association, and the Faculty of Surgical Trainers.
Mr. Cloke holds considerable experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder for rotator cuff problems and frozen shoulders.
He has been on the education committee of BESS, and is an examiner for FRCS (Tr&Orth) - the final orthopaedic consultant exam. He has been recently appointed to ODEP - the panel that judges safety of orthopaedic joint replacements. He was Northern Orthopaedic Trainer of the Year in 2014. He sits on the Specialty Advisory Committee, which oversees orthopaedic training and registration in the UK.
Mr Cloke served in the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel for 19 years including operational deployment.
