Consultation with regards to need for cataract operation. Full assessment by Mr. Yasmin Ramkissoon. Explained each procedure and what to expect and why it was necessary. Reassured me that an operation on my cataracts was not needed at present. Throughout the consultation I was treated with respect and kindness and felt more positive about getting on with my life when I left. In future if my condition deteriorates I would definitely consult Mr Yasmin Ramkissoon for an honest and informed opinion.

This surgery was the cataract on my second eye; Mr Ramkissoon did my first cataract before lockdown. My experience of the first operation and its result was so positive that I went into the second eye's operation completely confident in both Mr Ramkissoon and the result. And that confidence was fully justified.

Mr Ramkissoon was friendly and made me feel at ease. He explained information in an appropriate way for my needs/knowledge. He seemed very thorough and gave me options to consider. I felt very comfortable in his care.

He gives confidence in his skill and I have no reservations about recommending him to all my friends and family if they ever need such medical needs.

Mr. Ramkissoon is a consultant whom I would unhesitatingly recommend. He is an excellent communicator and a skilled practitioner in his field. I researched ophthalmic consultants before opting to select Mr. Ramkissoon for my procedures. I have had no cause to regret my choice.

Mr Ramkissoon is the nicest most thorough consultant I have ever met with. He took the time to explain everything about my eye condition and the many different options available to me and offered reassurance on my decision to have surgery. I have been referred to another consultant for the surgery in Manchester because at the moment this cannot be carried out privately in Sheffield but I would be more than happy to be referred back to Mr Ramkissoon if any follow ups are required.

I would have preferred more face to face advice rather than to read the literature and “ have you any questions “ I felt I made the decision about lens type without an expert’s advise about the alternatives. I am pleased with the outcome, but might have been more pleased with more advise about alternatives.
