After Mr Vikas Vedi performed a total left hip replacement in March 2017, I had no hesitation in going back to see him regarding my other hip. I have always found Mr Vedi courteous, friendly, matter-of-fact and very clear in instructions. His support staff at Bishopswood, his secretary, nurses, physios etc. were always kind and helpful. My 3-nights’ stay was excellent (if worked hard by the physios!) I am now six months after my right hip replacement and back to walking, gardening and (possibly) sailing (and I have got my spring back!). I would unhesitatingly recommend anyone with hip problems to go straight to Mr Vedi.

I first met Mr.Vedi many years ago when he diagnosed my arthritis in my hips. Prior to the operations I was somewhat apprehensive when contemplating what was in my view a major event. I was delighted when the whole process proved to be so smooth and uneventful. I would definitely go back to Mr Vedi. I found Mr Vedi very straight-talking and realistic – he tells you as it is to manage your expectations. He is also someone who takes time out of hours to come back and see you - as he really cares and is very patient-led. I am positive I can now start a long-term rehabilitation programme on my own which would not have been possible without this operation.

Despite having a number of interventions, I was still unable to sit down. Through Mr Vedi’s recommendation of having Shockwave Therapy and PRP treatment, he has finally made it possible for me to endure less pain and sit down for longer periods. I found Mr Vedi to be very informative, clearly explaining the options available and I found him to be incredibly helpful. I intend to carry on seeing Mr Vedi intermittently, as my condition is one that needs to be managed ongoing.

My operation was a real success and after surgery I was able to walk without crutches. Mr Vedi explained everything thoroughly and I felt I could really trust him and what he said. Now, ten weeks after knee replacement surgery, I’ve got my life back, thanks to Mr Vedi and can do all the things I used to do before – I can drive, walk around a supermarket easily, and am loving being back at the gym.

I had a right total hip replacement performed by Mr Vedi in 2017 and was delighted with the result. When I needed the same procedure on my left hip two years later I returned to see Mr Vedi.
