Mr Krishnan delivered a new hip as promised, all done painlessly.

Mr Krishnan spent time explaining the procedure & any risks. He also gave me time to ask any questions which he then answered to my satisfaction. I always felt I was able to make my own decisions about going forward with my hip replacement after talking with Mr Krishnan

I first met Mr Krishnan at BMI Chiltern on 24th January 2022 for a consultation about my right knee, which had been giving me problems for a number of years. He asked me about the symptoms, examined my knee, its range of movement and sent me for x-rays. The x-rays showed bone on bone contact and confirmed his suspicion that I needed a full knee replacement. I had been hoping for something less invasive, but Mr Krishnan clearly explained his reasoning and described the procedure, what to expect after surgery and during recovery. We talked about quality of life and the benefits of the surgery. Mr Krishnan carried out the tkr on 4th March. I'm 8 weeks post surgery now and I'm both pleased and surprised by my recovery, which has been remarkably pain free. I've been exercising and icing regularly, gradually building up the distance that I can walk. Currently my knee is happy to walk up to 45 minutes at a reasonable pace and is totally pain free. The knee has a bend of 125° and I can very nearly straighten it. The surgical team at BMI Chiltern provided excellent care and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Krishnan. In fact I have done so already. Mr Krishnan you have given me back my quality of life. Thank you so very much.

Mr Krishnan is a very engaging person who took time to fully explain the hip replacement procedure. He did so in a very professional, respectful and non-patronising way. On the day of the operation his calm manner and good humour made me feel very confident of a positive outcome. Following the surgery he was very attentive during his ward visit and also in the 6 week post operative review. If I ever need surgery of this type again I would actively seek him out.

Mr Krishnan took the time to explain things carefully and allowed me to make my own decisions. Before the operation he promised to phone my wife and tell her that I was fine (which of course I was). The outcome - the most important bit - was truly remarkable - the time to recover from the operation could be measured in hours, muscle waste was kept to a minimum and now six weeks after the operation I can do must things within reason. I am also pain free.

Mr Krishnan he is a very carrying, understanding, professional surgeon. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone that requires a knee replacement.

The speed of response to any enquiry and the clear explanations of my knee replacement treatment and the likely results gave me confidence in his abilities. He was always calm and reassuring and I'm grateful to be treated so quickly after waiting so long through the pandemic. In just 2 days my knee already feels strong and resilient for the future.
