My experience with Mr Fernando was better than I could have hoped for. He was so supportive throughout my pregnancy, always available at any time for any questions, always responsive. He was attentive and did everything to ensure a healthy baby and delivery. I’m so thankful.

Mr Fernando is absolutely brilliant in all respects - he is an excellent doctor and surgeon, but also extremely kind and empathetic of difficult situations. He looked after me extremely well during a particularly complex situation, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was under Mr Fernando's care for several years whilst trying for my first baby. Mr Fernando was very supportive throughout the pregnancies, offering frequent growth scans, easy access and quick response whenever needed. He performed my ERPC and I recovered well afterwards. I continued under his care and had a successful pregnancy ending with an elective C-section delivery at the Portland a few months ago. The delivery went quickly and smoothly and I was very satisfied with the anaesthetist selected by Mr Fernando. The C-section wound healed well and left me with a neat, single-line scar. Initially, I had a small (1cm) fold of loose skin over the scar but it flattened out within a few months an is now completely gone. I was mobilised promptly and could carry my baby and even walk up a few flights of stairs a few days post partum.

I had the best birth experience. Dr Fernando took such good care and my c-section went smoothly. I had such a quick recovery after the c-section and my tummy is completely back to the usual after only 2-3 months after surgery. I cannot thank Dr Fernando enough for the amazing care and quick recovery. I have been lucky to be in such good hands. My partner and myself were very happy from day one, from the check up, birth and aftercare.

I could not have received better care from mr Ruwan Fernando, my birthing experience was the best I could of ever asked for and I can not thank him more for that. Thank you again.

I cannot recommend Mr Fernando more highly. He delivered both my children through caesarean section. He is kind, compassionate, patient and took the time to address my concerns, no matter how big or small they may have seemed. Mr Fernando always made time for me in the months before and after each pregnancy I'm very grateful to have found Mr Fernando and cannot thank him enough.

Mr Fernando has delivered my two children at the Lindo Wing, St Mary’s in 2016 and 2018, via c section. Mr Fernando is friendly and approachable and listened to my concerns. My recovery was good on both occasions. I have no issue recommending him.
