I went to Mr Hettige after not being able to have any sense of smell for over 3 years. I had been putting it off as I was unsure of the impact of having surgery. Mr Hettige thoroughly explained what the cause was, Nasal Polyps and the impact they have. He went through the whole process and tried a number of options (steroids, nasal sprays etc) before deciding that surgery was the best option. On surgery day, Mr Hettige met me before the surgery and again explained exactly what the procedure was and asked if there were any questions. He also returned after the surgery to see how I felt and explained in lots of detail on the after care. This made me feel much more at ease. Although post surgery there was a little discomfort for about 2 weeks with what felt like a blocked nose, I feel almost liberated by being able to now smell things that I haven't been able to do so for nearly 3 years! I would recommend this surgery & Mr Hettige to anybody who has the same symptoms and is unsure whether to go ahead with the surgery. Do it! You will feel great afterwards!

I would highly recommend Mr Hettige. My life has changed so much for the better since Mr Hettige performed surgery on my nose for a deviated septum and inflamed turbinates. I am able to breathe better and sleep better. My general lifestyle has really improved. Mr Hettige is so polite, well mannered and gentle and will give you honest advice on what to do and what you will expect and he's pretty spot on.
