Many think that choice is an activity of the moment: that we choose as we go along and that decision is the response to present stimuli or current circumstances. But I would want to think otherwise. I think we choose according to the way we have chosen a thousand times before. As humans, we are creatures of pattern, purveyors of custom, and instruments of sameness. Our tastes are cultivated by indulgence. They are predispositions, not decisions of the moment. Each choice, whether good or bad is a step that makes continued journeying in that direction easier and more likely. We choose not at the moment of response, but as we have been conditioned by responses over time. Why am I saying this, because choosing to go under the knife and have your body sculpted by a person you don’t know from a hole in the wall takes a lot of conscious choices and that does not happen overnight. One does his/her homework over some time and only when one is satisfied does one make that final decision of choosing a particular surgeon. Prioritised choosing results in correctness with respect to options; confidence concerning outcomes; and clarity concerning evaluation and review. I chose Dr. Alamouti because I did my research well and I am reaping the rewards of that conscious well thought decision and choice. I should mention, I have always been a sceptic when it comes to plastic surgery, but Dr. Alamouti wiped away all that scepticism. Dr. Alamouti is excellent surgeon, I say excellent because he recognises that all clients who come before him are all unique, their needs are unique, the way each client engages in the guidance process is also unique. You get a surgeon who can recognise that in his/her clients, you have got yourself a winner. I liken Dr. Alamouti's hand skills to that of an artist. He clearly understands what it means to be an artist of his profession. As a surgeon, I believe he has mastered the art for which the mere application of theory and models will not suffice. If you are familiar with Donald Schon’s theory of technical rationality; in it, Schon (1983) believes and I quote “professional surgeons (substituted practitioner for the surgeon) need to move beyond mere technical competence to develop the artistry which one observes in the most exceptional of surgeons, these being the surgeons who can respond creatively and effectively to situations of uncertainty. They understand and value their prior knowledge but can experiment and create new practice and theory without negating the fundamental discipline of their profession”. Let me return to the concept of artistry. An artist of course is one who can push boundaries, take risks, enter the zones of uncertainty, and does not merely reproduce the works of their teachers or mentors as that would be merely a reproduction, not art. I can hear protestations of “we are dealing with people here, not paint or clay, thus we cannot experiment at the expense of human beings. Fair point, but hear me out; to be on top of your game, to be the best plastic surgeon, I think one needs to be able to take risks within reason of course be able to experiment but only within the framework of evaluation. I think this sums up Dr. Alamouti. He is the best young surgeon I have come across, I am yet to come across one that surpasses him. He holds and possesses the basic discipline, the techniques, and tools of the trade, his bedside manners are nothing but impeccable and anyone who has had the pleasure of coming across him would agree with me on that point. Dr. Alamouti has mastered the discipline of plastic surgery and he is still going further. This is coming from one woman who has always been a sceptic when it came to plastic surgery, and that should speak volumes of Dr. Alamouti skills and his artistry.

I would definitely recommend Dr Reza. This was a big decision and life changing procedure for me. After my very first consultation with Reza I felt confident I had chosen the right procedure for me. He explained every detail and there was no pressure at all. The day of the op I felt very comfortable and cared for. From start to finish Dr Reza was available to answer any last min questions - both before and after the procedure.

If there was a six stars rating was available would’ve given six. He is the best by far and extraordinarily professional. Great bedside manner. Very personable as well. It is very worrying to hand over your wife into somebody else’s hands but the man is absolutely amazing.
