Mr Pavol Surda was very reassuring in his advice and analysis. He explained everything at a level of detail that was concise and understandable.

I have been through 2 surgeries with Dr Surda. The first one I had over a year ago to remove large polyps. Before the surgery, I couldn’t breathe or smell anything for over a year and had a runny nose all the time. As I work in hospitality it means always with people it was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing to have runny nose on the daily bases. Didn’t know what to do as nothing would help. When I get my appointment with Dr.Surda he explained that surgery is necessary in my case and booked me in for the operation in the next several months. On the day of the operation in Guys Hospital, I have been seen by Dr Surda and he calmed me down not to worry that all be good. He was very right. I have recovered in about 10 days after the operation and it was just incredible that I could breathe through the nose and my sense of smell starts slowly returning again. Now I can smell as normal. Must to mention that all staff in the hospital were extremely nice, professional and helpful on the day of my operation. Unfortunately, in about 10 months after the surgery, I noticed that one of my eyes is constantly wet and is relocated slightly to the side. When it started to get worse and I had a double vision on my right eye my GP send me to St Thomas Hospital to see an eye specialist. After some checks and scanner, they prescribed me antibiotic drops which wouldn’t make any difference. Then I decided to go to Moorfields Eye Hospital with the hope they would find what the problem is as they only specialise on the eyes. They couldn’t tell me what the problem was and send me back to St Thomas. On that point, my eye gets really bad. When I came to St Thomas Hospital second time another doctor seen me and send me for more scanners. When results came it was Mucositis in my sinuses and it took eye specialists over 3 months to discover it. They send me to ENT to see Dr Surda and with his golden hands, he did something incredible on the appointment so my eye went back to the normal but it was just a temporary fix and different type of surgery was booked for me. I have asked Dr Surda if he can do my operation sooner and before 3th of August as it was my wedding we won’t be able to do any pictures with state of my eye. Dr Surda found me space in 3 weeks before the wedding so I could recover from the operation. Before the operation I get infection in my sinuses and my eye gets very bad and very sore again. I went to the Guys Hospital and been told that Dr is doing surgery on that day and won’t be possible to see him. However he found time for me after the operation and fixed my eye again. What a pain relief it was, I couldn’t thank more do Dr Surda. On 10th of July I had my operation and all went very well again and I was ready for my wedding. My Eye is good as before again, I can see, I look normal and no more pain!!!After all what Dr Surda done for me he is my hero and I would like to keep in touch with him in the future as he changed my life twice when I suffered. I will never forget what he done and wish only the best to him and his family. He is the best example of a great Doctor.

I had a very good initial consultation with Mr Surda and he took time to explain the surgery that I needed which I found reassuring and I was clear on what would take place. He also managed to get me operated on at London Bridge Hospital the day after the consultation which was ideal for me as I wanted to get my surgery completed as soon as possible. He was very supportive after the operation and provided details and a help sheet to enable me to understand how to look after myself and recover as quickly as possible.

I found Dr Surda to be an excellent doctor - he was understanding, listened carefully to my symptoms and made an efficient diagnosis. I can highly recommend his services as a doctor and am very grateful to him for seeing me at such short notice, but also with such professionalism and kindness.

Everything was explained clearly by Mr Surda and I felt totally confident in his case. My nasal breathing has greatly improved. Efficient approach and pleasant environment.
