He was excellent and extremely efficient. I would not be here today without him. I first saw him on Friday and had my operation the following Monday.

Mr Dorward has treated me with the greatest respect and kindness since we first met and throughout the period of diagnosis and pending surgery he was always at pains to make sure that I understood everything that was happening and going to happen. There were some minor complications following surgery on my lower back last year and Mr Dorward had to carry out further procedures - during that period he kept me very calm and my self confidence intact which was no easy job. I think he learnt from our whole experience that allergies can appear from anywhere! I am currently seeing him for revision surgery and yet again I am being treated with caring and concern, interest and respect. I do feel that I am in very safe hands.

Mr Dorward gave me clear a explanation of my condition and of the proposed procedure and associated risks. He was also more than happy to answer any questions I had subsequently (both pre and post-op).

I met Mr Dorward in 2008 when in A&E after a fall resulting with a broken back (T10 fracture). A very worrying injury and he handled my case with care and compassion but above all, saved me from a worse outcome instead fixing my spine with supporting rods and screws allowing to stand up as soon as possible the next day or so post surgery. The outcome could have been so different without his experienced diagnosis, intervention and care. It was a long recovery but once I did, I had 10 good years before having to call upon his wisdom and advice to repair wear and tear damage to my spine causing me great back pain and sciatica. He operated on my L2 & L3 slipped disc and performed an L1 nerve decompression and after a few months recovery, I'm enjoying my life again, pain free. Mr Dorward as a gentle & kind manner. He always responded to my numerous questions and gave me reassurances when the worries took over, taking time to explain all procedures and the options available. He saved my life and I am eternally grateful for all he has done for me over the years.

Mr. Dorward is an outstanding medic. He is professional and his experience calms a patient down from any anxiety or worry. He performed a pituitary tumor for me and his op, his post op daily visits and follow up over the years showed superb diligence and professionalism and also as he coordinated with other case related specialities.

I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of Mr Neil Dorward from the point of diagnosis, clarity of explanation of my procedure for surgery (on a tumour compressing my optic nerve), the surgery itself, which went smoothly and the after care. He helped alleviate a lot of the fear I had about the surgery and is backed up by a superb team.

Mr Dorward presents as thoughtful, kind and considered. It has always been relatively convenient to make appointments to see him. His administration is always very efficient. I appreciate his calm manner but have needed more detail in the explanations, expectations and about the necessary follow up care. I have required significant physio therapy despite a successful operation.
