I really couldn’t rate Mr Klinke more highly. The care I received from my first consultation, my operation and follow up was excellent. His calm manner and informative advice manner made the whole experience very reassuring and I had complete confidence in him. His bedside manner was extremely good too. The attention I received by the nurses and porters on the second floor of the hospital was wonderful too.

Over many years I have had several surgical procedures carried out on my ankle following the original problem of snapped ligaments. The most recent operation carried out in Feb 2020 was unsuccessful and I was advised I would need an ankle fusion as the ankle joint was destroyed which would mean carrying out the complicated procedure followed by 6 months in plaster. I was informed that there was a significant chance that the bones would not fuse, and the procedure would need to be repeated followed by another 6 months in plaster. At this point I decided to find an ankle specialist to get a second opinion, I found Mr. Martin Klinke and arranged a consultation. Mr. Klinke listened to the issues I had and fully understood what pain I was going through. Following Xrays and an examination Mr. Klinke reassured me that I would need an ankle fusion and went on to say that he had never carried out a procedure where the ankle had failed to fuse and furthermore, he would expect me to be walking in 4 months without pain. I am now 4 months on since the operation I have returned to work, cycling and walking our dog for approximately 1 hour a day which is the first time for approximately 4 years. I really cannot thank Mr. Klinke enough for the life changing procedure he has carried out on my ankle. I have subsequently recommended Mr. Klinke to several friends and colleagues. I would also like to thank Mr. Klinke’s secretary Gay Munn for assisting and guiding me through the process and answering all the questions asked.
