From consultation to being discharged Mr Akula was professional and polite. He has given me my life back for which I thank him.

Dr Akula was helpful everytime I saw and spoke to him. I would email him questions and my treatment and options and he would reply. He was so helpful and couldn't of done more to help me

I can’t thank Mr Akula enough for skilfully and successfully performing lumbar decompression surgery on my back. I was in excruciating pain which disappeared within hours of surgery. From my first visit with Mr Akula I felt comfortable, at ease and in good hands. Although I have 3 issues from my neck down to my lower back we started with MRI's confirming that my neck needed attention first. Mr Akula operated on me on the 7th March this year and to say I'm feeling new is a under statement. Mr Akula is a very compassionate man with an excellent bedside manner. He explained my symptoms and the procedure I was going to have very clearly, he is very kind and considerate and even came to see me late in the evening long after he had finished for the day. Mr Akula is a very calming and assuring person, he thoroughly explained my Micro Discectomy procedure in a calming way whilst using a spinal prop to explain the procedure in detail. He was at my bedside prior to the operation to assure me I was in safe hands and visited on my release from theatre to explain all had gone exactly as he had assured me. I can say after 3-4 weeks I was completely pain free, I was signed off as fully recovered on week 12 After 6 months of unbearable pain I can only say I was glad I chose Mr Akula as my Consultant and will be forever grateful he truly is a wonderful person Bill H
