Mr Brown explained the issue clearly, set out the options available to and provided his recommendation. He was not quick to propose surgery, however after 6 months of monitoring and a further MRI scan his recommendation was for surgery and clearly outlined his reasons including the risk of waiting. I understood the logic and the side effects which may or may not occur as a result; surgery took place quickly thereafter. Mr Brown's bedside manner was very good - conversations were never rushed and his explanations were clear. Post surgery, follow up treatment and consultations were informative and productive. When consultations moved to virtual due to geographic locations the quality of care, attention and time offered continued at the level I had come to expect. Making appointments via his very efficient secretary Kat was very easy. Overall I am very grateful and fortunate for the skill, care and attention pre, during and post surgery Mr Brown and his staff demonstrated, they are a credit to themselves and the Prostrate Centre.

Mr Brown had an excellent clinical approach in this our first meeting. His history taking was relaxed, unhurried and very detailed, with demonstration of good listening skills, particularly with open questions which covered the full range of genito-urinary problems and disorders. Clinical examination too was thorough and decisive. His evaluation of my condition and presenattion was confident, reassuring and evidence based as far as possible, but left open the unanswerable questions dependent on further non-interventional investigations and spoecific tests which he explained in very full detail, including implications for further interventional investigations and possible procedures. THis was a highly satifactory, informative and reassuring consultation. I am very pleased have Mr Brown as my consultant urological surgeon going forwards.

Christian Brown had an engaging and easy manner when dealing with potentially difficult questions of an intimate nature. Reassured by questioning and examination. Clear explanation as to the state of my prostate etc. and helpful advice on avoiding recurrence of urinary infection. Well satisfied with the outcome.

I suffered from hydrocele for a number of years, which suddenly began to grow quite rapidly. I met Mr. Brown who immediately put me at ease, explained the condition and walked me through the surgical process. He answered my questions very patiently and took the time to go through my concerns. Within a couple weeks, I had my op with Mr Brown and was home the same day. I had a six week follow up and in this time, Mr Brown called to check up on my progress. He was excellent in his care, good communicator and comforting. He certainly is brilliant at what he does, the scar has almost disappeared already and I have no pain or discomfort. I'm happy with the outcome, I wish I had met him earlier and had not been put off surgery for all these years living with this condition.

Met him four times: outpatients, just before operation, the next day and six weeks later. I have seen too many doctors in recent years (both for myself and my wife) - and am therefore something of a connoisseur of consultation skills. Mr Brown is a very good communicator - and human. The operation was a total success - he was always pleasantly confident it would be. Five stars.
