Very professional and put me at ease, good explanation of the proposed procedure.

I am a competitive Masters swimmer and was in too much pain to swim. Having rested, seen doctors, had injections, seen physios and done every rehab exercise religiously for months, had X-rays and scans which couldn't diagnose my shoulder pain, Mr Talbot told me what he believed was the problem. He explained in detail but in terms I could understand and told me how he could fix this. He said that he couldn't know definitvely until he saw it during the operation but I felt very confident in his hands. After the surgery, he explained clearly what he had done. The main issue was exactly as he had diagnosed. During my rehab, he swiftly arranged for me have a hydrodilation prodedure which helped with the recovery. Five months later I was back in the water and am now back to competition after I had genuinly thought I'd never swim again. I can't recommend him highly enough. While I hope my other shoulder won't need the same treatment, if it does, I won't have it fixed by anyone other than Mr Talbot!

I would definitely recommend Mr Talbot for any shoulder issues. I suffered frozen shoulder in both shoulders within 12 months of each other. Mr Talbot was very thorough and quick to diagnose this issue both times. His bedside manner is the best I’ve ever experienced. His knowledge and expertise meant that he was able to deliver the right treatment plan and he he had me sorted quickly. I am no longer in pain and have full range of movement in both shoulders.

I found Mr Talbot very easy to talk to, he explained my options clearly, not at all intimidating, which being quite an anxious person put me at ease.

Mr Talbot is amazing at his job and always make sure his patients understand each part of the process. He made me feel at ease at all times and made sure I was happy with procedures that we going to happen. I will be having another operation later this Year and am pleased that Mr Talbot will be doing this for me. I would alos like to mention that his Secretary Michelle is a fantastic asset to his Team

From the first meeting with Mr Talbot, I felt so very relaxed and when he told me I needed surgery, I was upset and he was incredibly kind and understanding of my situation and straight away put my mind at rest explaining everything that would happen. Whilst being very professional, he is also very personable. From my first consultation right through to after my surgery, he has been so very supportive and I cannot recommend him enough.

Mr Talbot was very clear in explaining my options. This made my decision making much easier. Straight after my operation, he gave me a thorough update of how the procedure had gone so when I was discharged from hospital I fully understood my position. He was extremely approachable and willing to answer all my questions.

Everything was highly professional and the care was exceptional . I had a badly torn tendon in my shoulder which the healing time can be many many months particularly at my age 65 . I’m delighted to say I’m back to almost normal playing golf gardening and back to a normal life in 4 months . I’m so thankful to all those involved at the Duchy and particularly my very talented surgeon MrCharlie Talbot . He’s the best and he’s got a great sense of humour too .

Mr Talbot has helped both me and my husband with shoulder issues, both very different problems but we found Mr Talbot was clear and supportive with want was best to move forward. We would recommend any one to see him
