My experience with Mr Bob Chatterjee was excellent. He gave me plenty time to tell him about my health issues and then explained very thoroughly what the problem was and the various ways it could be dealt with. I had time to reflect and make my decision . The subsequent operation and follow up were equally excellent and throughout I felt i was getting the most excellent medical care within a total caring environment.

I was apprehensive at an appointment with a spinal surgeon, quietly habouring all sorts of melodramatic fears. I left feeling reassured and relaxed. Mr Chatterjee was very thorough in examination, despite the fact he had already seen my MRI. He wanted to check that observations matched his conclusions from the scan. He asked questions and listened carefully to the answers. Clear on his diagnosis, he then carefully walked me through what was going on using both a 3D model and relating that to sections on the scan. For the first time, I thoroughly understood what was giving rise to my symptoms. He was thoughtful on management going forward and managed patient expectations. We agreed on a treatment plan which I suspect will really help. I was throughly impressed.

Mr Chatterjee has all the attributes you could wish for in a top consultant dealing with a relatively complex case: offering patience, kindness, professionalism and, above all, clear guidance. But, most importantly, he performed faultless surgery, with no fuss, no extra costs and total care and consideration for me, the patient. That attention has been carried through to post operative consultations. It is absolutely worth travelling up to London and bear the additional costs. I must add too that he is supported by an extremely efficient administrative team in Sue and Jamie (as well as a very useful app).
